Which is the better deal...quality and moneywise.....getting your kitchen cabnits from a place like Lowe's and Homedepot or having a custom cabnit maker make them. I would love to hear some true life examples.
Answers:
1i worked for a custom kitchen and bath showroom for over 4 years and there is also semi-custom cabinetry available. working with a custom design showroom can alleviate many of the logistical problems one can experience, as well as offer a variety of cabinet manufacturers to choose from, many being of higher quality than you'd find at lowes or home depot, and with the right designer, fits within your budget. some good quality, semi-custom manufacturers include Kahles Kitchens, Quality/Woodstar Cabinetry, and Hanssem Coorporation. Some higher end manufacturers include Luxor and Honeybrook Custom Cabinetry. You don't need to hire a custom "cabinet-maker". You are looking at a fortune there. From hearing customer experiences, I would call your local kitchen and bath design showroom, tell them what you're looking for and what your budget is and they will point you in the right directon. That is what they specialize in, so they would know best.
